Thank you to those with the advice about trying to find out how it happened.
I had the quote for repairs and it was just short of fifteen hundred pounds!!!
And l stood to lose my "no claims"
Anyhow, with no CCTV and living in a village l just retraced my movements on that day. When l went into the newsagents l was parked in front of when l went into the hairdressers on that day, miraculously their neice had seen it happen and ran outside to try & get the numberplate of the Tesco Direct lorry that had hit my car and shunted it about 3 feet along.
Not only are her family (she is about 13/14) willing for her to make a witness statement but the Aunt works for the police and asked me to go to the station with my documents to make a statement. I have done this today and they seem to think that Tesco will pay up because they wont want the publicity, when they do l will have my "no claims" reinstated and my £250.00 excess paid back. Its now in the hands of the police and my insurance company.
I went to the garage and asked if they would give my car a look over again as l now know that it was hit and shunted backwards by a seven and a half ton lorry and l was not happy driving it knowing that. Amazingly there is no internal damage and safe to drive until the insurance company sanction the repairs.
Alls well that ends well!!

Phew! When my son in law was scraped by a bus the driver categorically denied it even tho the bus left the imprint of its wheel on the car! I took the bus company on and threatened them with the press and I said i would appeal for witnesses-the company stepped down and paid compensation. Good Luck. YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

That's such great news, Christine. I really hope this guy gets the sack - he's a menace and could do this again.

Had a phone call from my daughter (training as a paramedic) who has finally been let loose driving an ambulance and backed it into a brick wall!! Not much damage to the ambulance but lots to her pride!!
Seems vehicle prangs are running in the family!
